このブログをリニューアルしようと昨年から準備をしてきたのですが、どうも新しいバージョンの調子がおかしい。いちいち設定に行くたびに砂時計が出て使い物にならない。レイアウトも思ったようにならないし、当面現行のまま続けることにしました。
それはさておき、いろいろな問題の答えが多少見えてきました。
すでにここで何度か言及している中のいくつかに、実はその答えはあったのですが、そのいくつかバラバラにあったことが、ここにきて見事に一つに繋がってきたと言うことです。
ヒントは、前回のそして今年も砧公園で人生を考えるに書いたとおり、砧公園〜山海亭〜温泉サウナであり、この週末テニスです。年に1回のことか、1週間ごとのことか関係なく、これを何十年に亘って続けることであり、もちろんこのことも重要ですが、ことの本質は、この継続の「意志」であり継続の「仕掛け」です。
ここまで書いて、続きがうまく言葉にならない時に、グッドタイミングの文章にあった。
テレビに出てきた外国人労働者の一人が、首切りの二日前に生まれた子供を抱きながら、とろけそうな喜びを見せ、「この子のためなら何でもして働く。安い労働でもする」と言っていた光景に胸を打たれた。世界中のどこでも、職がなければ、安い労賃でも辛い仕事でも、とりあえず納得して働くのだ。日本社会程度の常識があれば、景気がよくなれば落ち込んだ分を必ず補正するだろう。今はとりあえず生き延びればいいとすべきなのだ。

まさに継続とは、生き延びることです。この生き延びる「意志」と「仕掛け」こそ、今かかえる数々の問題の答えに他なりません。
例えば、砧公園〜山海亭〜温泉サウナにおける生き延びる「意志」と「仕掛け」とは。「意志」はすでに書いたとおり「初詣」、「参拝」以外にはありません。では「仕掛け」は。生き延びる「仕掛け」には、それがずっとそこに「ある」ことが最も重要なことです。砧公園も、お店も、温泉サウナも、ずっと何十年もそこにあること。
では週末テニスは。「意志」は確認するまでもありませんが、「救い」であり「喜び」です。「仕掛け」は、「コートの予約」と「メンバーの予約」です（予約する週末テニス）。そしてなぜ週末テニスが生き延びることなのか。表向きの言い方はなんであれ、これなしでは毎日の仕事も生活もなりたたない。まさに今と言う時間を生き延びるための「救い」であり「喜び」であると言うことです。
一転、イスラエル／ハマス問題における報復の連鎖（元旦にクリご飯）は。こちらも丁度のタイミングでWOWOWでやっていた正月映画、キングダム/見えざる敵の中に、大きなヒントが隠されていた。この映画を観るのは、すでに3回目だけどやっと内容が正しく理解できた（たぶん）。それはFBI側もテロ側も、仲間を殺されて、互いに互いの「皆殺し」と言う報復を誓うことです。
しかし考えてみればわかるように文字通りの「皆」殺しなど、現代社会では到底不可能なことです。すなわち自分たちが生き延びるために、相手が生き延びることを受け入れるしかないと言うことです。これは共生とは正反対の意味の共生であり、つまり敵である相手との利害を相克した共存です。
これがはたして、連綿2500年続く、怨嗟、報復の連鎖への答えとなるのかは、わかりません。ただ彼らにとって「皆殺し」に救いを求めるより、自らの民族そのものが生き延びること自体を「意志」とするほうが、はるかに納得のいくものです。そしてその方法、「仕掛け」も、自爆テロなどと言う破滅型の手段ではなく、「話し合い」以外には考えられません。このための「オバマ」（坂本龍馬とオバマの使命と暗殺）と考えると、すべてがここで一本に繋がります。
そして、KAIもまた生き延びるための、今年最初の週末テニス。
メンバーは、新春らしく、ネモトくん、Y木さん、O谷さん。
結果は、ちょっとネモトくんのダブルフォールトが多すぎたことが幸いして、6-2、4-6、1-6、1-0と、昨年来続く彼の連勝にやっとストップをかけることができての、2勝2敗。
